Item #4) Signage by the USFS, presented by AZ Mike:
AZ Mike has gotten feedback from visitors that the rules should be posted at the springs. At the present time, all signage at the lower parking lot has been destroyed by vandalism. The only listing of the rules available to the visiting public are those provided by Mike Castro and the DCV. It is suggested that DCV offer to post signage at the lower parking for the USFS, and perhaps to include our brochure at that location. My notes do not indicate a firm decision on this, so I think the matter is up for discussion at this time.
Item #5) New Brochure Box:
The new box is mounted and awaits painting. We agree on a bright yellow for the lettering. We also agree that the message should be very short to make it legible on the small box. "DCV" and underneath that "Please Take One" was agreed on as the best way to do this.
Item #6) DCV Decision Process:
Wizard suggests earlier notice on items for discussion in order to ensure that all members have the time to consider and voice an opinion on them. All agree that an effort should be made to be inclusive.
Meeting adjourned at 2:26 pm. Members and visitors then spend a little time collecting trash around the site of the meeting.
