I forgot to mention that our meeting was attended by Ron, Wizard, AZ Mike, myself, and Paul. Joining us later in the meeting were Ruth and Terra, who are considering membership. The meeting began on time, and I did not note the end time but it seemed shorter than our last meeting.
Before we got to item #2, we had a discussion about the smaller of the two signs that are currently at the springs, the "pack it out" sign that has been migrating towards the stream. AZ Mike suggested that we get a few people to help and roll the sign up next to the other sign (volunteers remove nitwit's trash) and bury the post so that it will stay put and be more readable and noticable.
2. All accepted the internal document. Should we post the text of this document here, or share it through email? The only comment was that one grammatical error was noted, and unforunately the same error is still present in our brochure. We all agreed that small grammatical errors could be corrected without necessitating reapproval from the USFS.
Another impromptu discussion occurred about the changes to this forum. We again discussed the possibility of having our own forum site, as well as our own web site. We agreed that we would prefer not to have a registration and log-in process, that we would want the forum to truly be a public discussion forum, and that we would not want someone to have the option of banning anyone. We agreed that it would be more fair if there was an accross-the-board rule, such as offensive language, or if a person became abusive that person would be warned and be told specifically what to avoid doing to prevent being cut off. It was noted that ISP's have options of blocking if needed. It was noted by all present that the decision to ban AZ Mike from this forum was Rick's own decision, and that no one else voted on that or expressed that it should be done. Rick of course has that right, as it is his website (my own opinion), but I would prefer to have a discussion forum that does not confer that right on one person.
