3. We liked the idea of being connected to a larger organization, and no one had any other proposals besides The Naturist Society (TNS). Ron will check to see if there is a cost to have our organization listed in their publication. Ron is now a member, and each of us could also join as members individually, but we are interested in the idea of joining as a group or having an affiliation. If there is no cost to be listed in their publication, then we agree that we want to do that. If there is a cost, Ron will get back to us with the details. We agreed that affiliation with TNS could be especially beneficial to us in the event that DCHS was threatened with closure. We also agreed that we would like to have a representative from TNS come and talk to our group.
4. In our discussion of a sign, we agreed that there are three decisions to be made here.
(1) What would the sign say?
(2) What would the sign be constructed from and at what cost?
(3) Will the USFS approve our sign?
Since we are now awaiting approval of our brochure from the USFS, we agreed that we should wait until that occurs before asking them for another approval. Also, we should have answers to the first two questions in mind before approaching the USFS with it. So, we are throwing this item out for forum discussion at this time. Ideas and suggestions should be posted. To start us off, AZ Mike suggests that the sign should be something attractive; that the nicer it looks the more effective it is likely to be. A couple of ideas were thrown out at the meeting, but I did not get notes on them.
