Sam and Jobe make good points. That said, Deep Creek is open to the public and we live in the age of the Internet. Deep Creek info and trip reports will and do appear on Alltrails, Reddit, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and all over the place. People will discover this hidden gem. The question is what kind of people will come. For a long time the unmoderated Deep Creek Reddit forum had drifted to posts glamorizing the kind of activities we do not want at Deep Creek--mostly hookups and overt sex. I for one was glad to see a new moderator try to tone down and refocus the Deep Creek Reddit forum. Wouldn't it be better to focus on the springs, nature, the weather, the conditions, and traditional clothing optional vibe rather than put out the idea that Deep Creek is overly sexualized? The latter would draw the wrong crowd. So far it seems that the Reddit moderator is on the right track and I want to applaud that, even though publicizing all the details of history and upkeep might not be the best plan. There is plenty of positive stuff to talk about!
