Hey Paul P So appreciate your comments, however when I was employed as an engineer and when I was jumping out of helicopters to fight forest fires on federally controlled land my checks came from the USDA. It has always been an interesting dilemma, but Dept. of Forestry comes under USDA. You are not the only person to misunderstand this. Since you are a concerned participant of the hot springs I am sure that you are already doing every thing possible to make recreation at DCHS enjoyable for all. Have already contacted USDF and how to help. They the pictures could be used to help out the USDA folks down the road. Taking pictures will mostly intimidate those who are knowingly doing what they are aware of is wrong. Especially now with a very dry winter fire hazards are going to be a problem. So every body needs to get on the same page. Right now personnel is going to be diverted from the San Bernardino area to other areas like Arizona until fire season is pretty much over, so it will be important to be able to police this ourselves. Since I have many friends that are still employed with the USDF It is not difficult to pass on information about who and what the offenders are up to. So please try to get everyone to follow the rules. Peer pressure will have an important impact on how things go on out there. Keeping the place clean and free from fire danger should be a high priority. Thanks
