I arrived at the freedom trail head at 1:30 Saturday. Only to see the California fire dept. Picking up their equipment. Apparently a fire broke out earlier.
Only about 2_3 acres burned they must have gotten on this fire quickly. I saw where the choppers had sprayed fire retarded in a few places. It had turned the ground into a Orange glowing look.
It was a terrific week end at D.C.H.S. I am posting this with my android phone, which is cumbersome. I will post more @ the springs when I get to my computer.
The fire was to the right side of where the trail begins going down the hill.
