As of this morning, Friday June 10, the fire is 5% contained, and firefighters predict full containment tonight, So far its burned 75 acres. Hopefully no structures or people in the village are threatened. Anyone know what caused the fire?
No clue what caused the fire, but the link posted earlier in this thread, to the real-time posting of the fire containment effort, indicates that the fire started right off of Coxey Truck road. The spot indicated on the map is right where a major power line tower is. Perhaps something shorted out?
