I agree with you that my earlier recommendation for a group name is inappropriate if it is the same (or sounds the same) as another, partisan group. I searched Google for a "Deep Creek Conservancy" and found nothing. I like the name "Deep Creek Hot Springs Conservancy" because "conserving" our beloved creek and springs should be our group's chief mission.
