Pass

Do I need or have to have some kid of a pass to visit the hot springs? I drove out saturday to get an idea where they are located and drove the east route around the ranch. As soon as i got out of my car I heard a motorcycle I talked to the guy for awhile and he said his name was Mike. I never made it to the springs . Later, when I returned home, I got on-line and found alot of controverse over the hot springs and about a man named Mike Castro . I think this guy I met must have been him. He was asking alot of questions . If anyone has any input on this matter please let me know. I'm new to the area and would like to visit the hot springs with my wife ,but don't want to get into any trouble trying to get there .....Thanks
