Hello Desert Dude :-) Thanks for the info. I kinda figured it was a Gecko. I know some varieties have pads on the tips of thier toes for gripping while climbing walls and such. This evening after letting my wife and two daughters check out this cute little Gecko, we let it go, right where I found it :-) A few months back, I also saw a good sized Chuckawalla sitting on a rock just beyond our fence in the back yard. There is this steep rocky hill just behind where this lizard was, with plenty of places for desert creatures like it. I got out my 10x50 binoculars, and got a real close look at it. It was black and tan, with faint, alternating light and dark colored strips around its tail. Those Chuckawallas are big strong lizards. I even caught one once, pulling it out of a crack in some rocks he had crawled into. Let him go too. Being couped up in a cage is no place for those wild and free creatures :-)
