Once while camping at Gold Strike h.s. with my son. We were eating cantaloupe, throwing the rinds into the boulders. After a while I noticed a Chuckwalla dragging the cantaloupe rind into a secluded area. As time went by this guy must have told all of his friends. Because we counted @ 12 Chuckwallas doing the same thing. So instead of just eatting leftovers we started slicing whole pieces for them, much to their delight. After they had eaten they started doing the dance Desert dude mentioned. Chuckwallas here are the ringed necked varitey. My son had to catch one for a closer look. When he did this guy seemed to stiffen up with fear. Of course we let him go back home unharmed.
