It is hard to figure by your post as to what you heard about Deep Creek hotsprings. However, It seems to me by your talk of the bridge, you mean the Kinley creek bridge. Off the highway that loops around Lake Arrowhead. If so it is 3.1 miles from that parking lot down the Bradford ridge trail. When you get to the creek turn right and go about 100 yards to find the hot spring pools.
These hot springs are clothing - optianal, so if you are OK with your children in that situation than bring them. If not you may wish to check them out as a couple first.
