On the one hand I respect Katrina's efforts to bring light to these incidents she reports in order to help in some way protect the individuals involved or people that might be affected by the same aggression in the future. On the other hand I see the post of yesterday by Fyzicist who expresses that he sought a route to the springs other than the Bowen Ranch because he was in fear because of the reports he read at Katrina's web site and by what he read on this forum. I don't think that people who go to the Bowen Ranch, pay the fee and just go down and enjoy the hotsprings are in any real danger from Mike Castro. In my veiw these aggressive actions described are generaly against people who Mike has old grudges with or from mostly times past when there were alot of confrontations over usage of the Moss Mill Road. Also there were alleged confrontations to people who Mike felt tresspassed on his property without paying or without his permission. So should this information about these incidents in the area be brushed aside or swept under the rug because it might unduly cause people concern or is it a worthy subject of discussion ( on a Deep Creek Hotsprings Forum more specifically ) that gives your basic visitor more information that will help them in planning thier trip to these springs? The arguments have merit on both sides. I also feel that if the agencies felt that the aggressive acts discussed here were a legitimate concern that the solution is to bring to justice the person or persons perpetratting these acts, not to penalize the hotsprings visitors by closing the springs. Your basic visitor is not involved in anyway with these described acts and has no control over them.
