Scott, the "Merchant of Deep Creek," was, in my opinion, a two bit hood abusing the privilege of being able to visit the sacred place. He broke many, if not all, of the rules set up to protect the fragile natural and social environment of Deep Creek Hot Springs. If we accept the label as "free spirit" for Scott, then I guess all con men qualify as such.
As for the allegation that Scott was a Navy Seal for 10 years, I'd like to see the proof of that. As a combat veteran of the Vietnam war I take great umbrage at wannabees claiming to be a part of any honored brotherhood. What is Scotts's full name? I'd like to run it by current and veteran members of the U.S. Navy Seals. If they verify his service, then I will too, but if he's blowing smoke there are a number of guys who will want to have a serious talk with him.
