The ranch house is the only dwelling that a reasonably sane lost person might approach at night. It has lights,is just off of a marked road and isn't as frightening looking as any of the other charming homesteads in the area. Az and naked man are correct. Mike doesn't want to help,but after being accused of murder by total strangers, you might go out and try to make certain that anyone lost or broken down in the area was actually safe and accounted for too !! By the way its the only halfway decent looking house during the day also!!!
