Hi Sam, we all want to thank you for being one of the good guys! I wish more people would pick up trash. A lot of the TP and crap issues are from the illegal campers (by now most everyone knows this is my pet peeve!). Although a lot of it is from day users as well. You advice is good, and the only thing that could jeopardize the springs is some bad apple doing something really crazy like shooting someone. Also, if there continues to be many helicopter rescues, the Forest Service may say "{sorry folks, the springs are closed". Let's hope none of this happens and everyone who is not already a good steward of protecting and cleaning up Deep Creek gets educated on how to keep the place clean and natural.
