Dadinpain, I called the Sky Forest USFS Ranger Station ( 909-337-2444 ) who oversee the DCHS area and surrounding USFS lands and they confirmed what you have cited above in your post. I also asked the USFS person if the laws for the BLM lands would be the same regarding this issue and he said it would. So thanks Dadinpain for bringing more clarification on this gun issues as it relates to DCHS. I think you understand that our concern here is with those who would not follow the gun use laws and with those who use firearms improperly or dangerously. For example, instances where those cited in reports,( and I have seen this on occasions myself ) bring their guns to DCHS and fire them off for no proper reason or carry them around in a manner that is intimidating for the visitors. I can completely understand why such actions alarm people down there.
