Well, there's been a lot of talk here lately about this "business" and greed and money. How much do you think the Ranch REALLY takes in a month with the so-called "business"? I know I would hate to try to live off the amount that likely comes in. Maybe 20 cars on a Saturday? That's $80. Maybe the same on a Sunday? Maybe $200 on a good weekend? Probably half that the restby Gary - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Here we go again.... This forum does provide some good information every now and then. But the entertainment value of these mud-slinging, name-calling threads is something else! Now I can see why "reality TV shows" are such a hit. It just sucks the viewers in... like it or not.by Gary - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Those riders should have their license revoked... They're idiots too. ) Like I said, any vehicle... including hiking boots, can cause damage if the user doesn't stay on the trail, or uses it when it's too wet. It's mostly dependent on the brain and care of the user. That's what we're really talking about here: Motive... intent... lack of respect or lack or intellegence. Who craps in the woods besides da bears? ;o) One good stop before the drive up the road... One good stop on the drive out... Doesn't that take care of it?by Gary - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
And I can't help but comment on the horse theme. There's always going to be a battle between classes of users of wilderness trails. Mtn. Bikers hate horses, horse riders hate the bikers... speeding and spooking their animals. Hikers probably hate them all. Here in Northern Utah I do a lot of Mtn. Biking. I don't think I "buy" the arguement about thin troughs left by bike tires causby Gary - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Don't know what good signs will accomplish without enforcement. The yahoo's who tear up the countryside, don't give a d*mn about anything. The laws are for "other" people... not for them. Signs ain't gonna stop them. As a side note.... When I use to travel to the area extensively, about 6 or 7 years ago, I would borrow a friend's mountain bike every now and then and bike up the Pacby Gary - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
That site has been down for many months. Don't know what the problem/controversy is with it. I think it's pretty much "hosed", "toast", "deep sixed", "defunct".... DEAD.by Gary - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
"loudmouth soup...." Now that IS a good one. I've never heard it called that before, but it pretty much fits the effect. And you're right LaughingBear, it is a shame that a select obnoxious few can tend to ruin things for the rest of those who work to make the place a great place for all. There are always those who figure that rules and laws apply to everyone else but them. I'm afrby Gary - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Well... my memory is often either on overload... or empty ;o) But the CAMERA's memory, well I deleted a few photos of my in-laws that were eating up space in the memory chip! They will never know. Don't tell me wife! Ain't the digital age just wonderful?!?!
