Re: Planning a solo trip to Sespe in two weeks

Just did it last weekend, found someone to go with through piedra blanca. I guess a couple weeks ago the creek had swelled to the point where it was impassable. This last weekend the deepest crossings were about thigh high. There were severe knee high crossings as well, probably totalling around 20 over the 16 miles. There were a LOT of people, mostly going to willet. At sespe I counted around 12 total camped out. The pools were right by the source because of all the runnoff making everything cooler, way more water than when I went last november. You could actually see snow on some of the mountain tops nearby.
