Sam, if you read the Forest Order closely, once the deer hunting period ends in that area on September 23 the Divide Peak gate will be reopened. At that time you would be able to drive all the way to Big Caliente again, but the gate will still be closed to Little Caliente. But you can hike or bike in from there.
