Hi folks,
My girlfriend and I are hiking to Willett Hot Springs in the Los Padres National Forest this weekend. We're planning to do it either as a one-night camping trip, or a really leisurely two-night camping trip.
Anybody who's been there before have any tips/suggestions for my trip? I've already got a Forest Adventure Parking pass for the trailhead, and am getting a fire permit (for stove use, not for open fire use -- NFS website seems to indicate that no open fire is permitted right now in the LPNF, for obvious "it's a tinderbox right now" reasons).
Any suggestions/tips?
Anybody know where I can get a topo map of that area? I've found trail information here (thanks to the person who gave me this link in a different thread a few months back), and there is a Googlemaps terrain view of the hike, which I could print. But a USGS topo map of the area would be better.
Thanks!
Joel
