Good point Mr Wizard. Alot depends which side of the fence the illegal activity occurs. The USFS does enforce the law on their side of the fence. I am supportive to OHV activity done in a lawful mannor and when I am out in my 4x4, I take caution to abide by the rules. Many other OHV users are careful to do the same. I did get an oppertunity to speak with Ranger Burns this morning and he was really thankful for my report. His phone # is 909-382-2767. It is the USFS intent to maintain Deep Creek as a non motorized vehicle area.

We have to wonder why the BLM does not take OHV non-compliance and vandalism seriously. Fences that are being cut are a mix of public and private. Some are in place in relation to the Round Mountain grazing allotment, others are the seperation public and private lands. Some fences are to assist in wildfire recovery which will take a long time to complete. Juniper forests take decades to recover. Lack of enforcement encourages the vandalism and one could argue that doing nothing in spite of repeated complaints is in reality an obstruction of justice.
