JUST GOT THIS EMAIL TOO
I just received this message myself and wanted you to know that the Hot
Springs have finally been opened for the public to use again. I apologize
that this took so long and I appreciate all of your patience. The Forest
Order and map are a little difficult to read but the paragraph below pretty
much explains everything. Thanks for recreating on the San Bernardino
National Forest and have fun at the Hot Springs...

On January 14, 2004 the Forest Supervisor rescinded The Old/Granprix Fire
Closure Order (No. 03-8) and signed Order No. 04-1 which closes a number of
roads, or portions of roads, and two off-highway vehicle routes to
motorized vehicle use. It is OK to enter, walk, ride a bike or horseback
on these roads. One just cannot operate or possess a motorized vehicle on
the listed roads. See the attached order (unsigned copy) with exemptions,
and map. This order will be in effect through December 31, 2004. The
Louisana/Blue Cut Fire Area Closure is still in effect. No other areas are
closed to entry. I will send out signed hard copies to the districts.
