Sam, it's also worth it to check out Keough Hot Ditch south of Bishop and just off the 395. As mentioned, Buckeye and Travertine are great, but so are Molly's, Pulky's pool, Shepard's and even Hot Creek. Fales may also be worth checking out. Soak.net does have some directions, but nothing beats a good hot springs book. Run out and buy Marjorie Gersh-Youngs Hot Springs and Hot Pools of the U.S. Amazon. com also has some excellent hot springs resources and the prices are good. You can occasionally find a slightly used edition there as well.
