Ahhh yes.... This could be one of Cote's crash pads. This one was built after the rangers took all of his expensive camping gear and left him a note that he could retrieve it at the ranger station along with a ticket for illegal camping. Notice how clean the surrounding camp is. Cote was a caring soul who loved the hotsprings.
The local who complained about the people there now is upset about the desecration of sacred lands with garbage. I have to admit that I was homeless at the hotsprings myself back in 1975. I learned to tread lightly and be invisable by not setting up a camp. Thanks for the pictures Wizard. Maybe that can of missing soup can be found up in Family canyon.....minus the contents!
