Sycamore Laughing, his question was "why do you mention bringing a dog , when no dog is mentioned"?
The answer: AZ is going to Kansas with Dorothy (his wife -- obviously a vague reference to how Wiz refers to his wife) and taking the dog (obviously Toto) ... it all refers to that story, The Wizard of Oz. Not too creative, as far a lies go, in my book.
