Kary, The group we are working will be attempting to create a better atmosphere at the springs where people will hopefully follow more closely the rules of the Forest Service for the DCHS area. Anything our group accomplishes toward that end will please the Forest Service. The people breaking the rules are the ones who will displease the Forest Service and give them reasons to question whether the springs should remain open. You have suggested in a recent post that you go at night and that you are part of the problem. Why not be part of the solution. The visitation of DCHS is increasing, rules are necesary to help preserve the integrity of this environment, without them the situation at the springs will degrade into something none of us want to see. The Forest Service is not going to go away and the people will keep coming in greater numbers. The springs will need protection and a group of caring visitors will be an important tool toward that end.
