I have not posted to this thread until now;
I have been watching the posts and see that there is a limited number of people using this forum (exact number not sure but about 10 to 12)
When I'm there it seams to me that there are more than 10 or 12 people there on any given day, Looking at it that way, there are a lot more people there than are in this as-of-yet no name group.
I have not heard from these people on any of the questions asked (gee I wonder why?) They don't know of this site or they don't have a computer, or they don't care.
I care and when I am down there I talk to people and do all the things that this group is suggesting already.
I feel that a personial touch when talking to people is the key to getting through to them, not by handing out flyers.
Don't get me wrong I think the flyer is a good idea. the forest service rules on one side, and deep creek etiquette on the other, simple and straight forward with no ads or web sites that could confuse some as to what is going on there, --I say leave out addresses and contact information as we all (group members that is) know how to contact each other via the forum first and second timers probably don't care if there is a forum or anything else, all they want is to soak at the springs, just like me.
So I for one would not like to see contact information on the flyer for the same reasons that Sycamore Laughing stated. It is not fair to all.
In theory- If the springs were to be closed who would find out first?
If the springs were threatened in any way who would find out first?
Knowing this could save a lot of paper and stamps and even long distance phone bills. I have not heard any thing about this, So if someone can enlighten me I would like to know who the first person to learn of things will be, and why?
