Curt, I have not seen that graph for Deep Creek water level before. It say " near Hesperia ", so perhaps the measurement is taken somewhere around the Mohave Forks Dam because except for times when there is enough rain the water from Deep Creek and the West Fork of the Mohave River which meet behind the dam and flow through it in a big tube, the Mohave River is generally dry all the way down to the Narrows near Victorville because the water goes underground into the large sand wash. At the narrows solid granite underground bring the water back to the surface there, and then further downstream it goes back underground again. They may have this gauge at one of the ends of the large tube through the dam. Upstream on Deep Creek from the dam the creek level can be all sorts of different depths depending on the canyon stream bed terrain. There is a very old cement structure across the creek just upstream a quarter mile or less from the dam, which I think was used for gauging a long time ago, but it does not appear to be operational now. The graph would be helpful in indicating significant water flow rises in the stream during heavy rain storms. I saved the link for future use, thanks smiling smiley
