Also can you inform me as to fire pits. burning trash, and update on parasites in that particular water? And fishing? Also we wanted to stay with kids a couple nights. We have stayed while PCT hikers were there and were told rangers don't have a problem with campers as long as they are being safe and following forestry rules and regulations

The information you were told about camping is incorrect. Here are the official Forest Service regulations:
These regulations prohibit the following activities in the Deep Creek drainage area:
· Camping on National Forest lands within a mile of each side of Deep Creek.
· Building, maintaining or attending a fire, campfire or stove fire.
· Being in the Deep Creek area after sundown or before sunrise.
· Possession of glass containers within a mile of each side of Deep Creek.
· Being publicly nude within one-quarter mile of the T-6 crossing (close to Arrowhead).
You can camp at Bowen Ranch. I think the current fee is 10 or 15 bucks per night.
The parasite you refer to is called Naglaerii Fowlerii. Its very rare , but deadly. You get it from submerging your head in water and having water go up your nose. I wuld suggest you and your kids do not put their heads underwater in the hot pools. The river should be OK.
Other Deep Ceek regulars may chime in here to give you more info. And of course the obvious- take enough food and water, and try to hike in and out during the coolest parts of the day.
