Mdskibum, I think that closure is the one that refers only to the dirt portion of HWY 173, which is the section which heads up into the mountains from the Mojave Forks dam area and is roughly four and a half miles to where it ends, just west of the Kinely Creek bridge, where the Bradford Ridge trail head is. The access to the Bradford Ridge trail on HWY 173 through the Arrowhead/Crestline area is still open last I heard. Maybe someone here has been that way lately and will know for sure. Also I've heard than when snows fall up in those areas a gate is closed further up HWY 173 to prevent vehicles from going down the snowy/ungraded pavement portion towards the Bradford Ridge trail head, meaning you would be blocked by that.
