Re: Access/Driving to Deep Creek

The drive on Highway 173 from Lake Arrowhead to Bradford Ridge Trailhead at Kinely Creek bridge is fine. It is paved all the way to the Bridge. Don't come the other way, from the direction of the Deep Creek spillway. It is unpaved and not suitable for anything except high clearance vehicles. The best way to get there is not to take 173 all the way around Lake Arrowhead, but to go from 189 to North Bay Road in Blue Jay, then make a left on Peninsula and a right on Grass Valley. Follow Grass Valley all the way down to its intersection with 173 and turn left and go down to the bridge.
