If you look at a satellite image type map you will see a road continues past the airfield. It looks like it stops in the high ground right above Deep Creek. I hope to hike the PCT from Hooks Creek Rd in Arrowhead down to Deep Creek (only about 15 mi.or so...) the next time we are visiting relatives. BTW, we're from Connecticut. I love following all the personalities here on the Forum.
