To who ever cares,
Last week while in the DCHS area I also visited some friends in the Lake Arrowhead area. While returning to the DCHS from the Lake Arrowhead area I observed a large amount of construction in the splinters cabin area. This consisted of a road grader grading the road from highway 173 to the splinters cabin area. Which is at least 1 mile from Highway 173. Also several trucks with #2 rock were in the area. It also appeared that the roof on the cabin had been repaired some how with new material. Also it appeared that a new construction site was being cleared near the cabin. I assume some one has been fixing up the several hundred acre site for habitation. I also observed a large van carrying several persons down the road to the cabin. I could not tell if they were residents or construction workers.
This place has a lot of history. Including Charles Manson and his family. Also, A airport landing strip that was suspected of drug trafficking activities back in the 60's-70's. I am certain that some one could write a book about the place that would be very interesting. Unless, you happen to live there.
