I havent been back since my cousins car was damaged. I dont know the status of the trailhead. Me and my friends are still debating when we or how we will ever go back. I recognized one of the vandals from high school, although I could not find him in the year book because I didnt know his name. Smashing vehicles is bad in itself, but to light someones vehicle on fire and possibly creating a devastating brushfire is something so wrong it hurts my heart. Getting to the top of the Freedom Trail trailhead that night was pretty scary, it looked like a warzone. Before we went up to our damaged car....we hid and pulled out every weapon we had in case the vandals were still around (someone crazy enough to vandalize and torch vehicles are crazy enough to stab or shoot someone). With nobody in sight, we put our blanket on the three inches of glass on the seat and hauled ass outta there hoping not to run into the vandals.
