Yea Rick, I call it coercion. Lawyers get you into the corner of the room and tell you your best option is to give up this right. Lying all the time. It is the standard process they use to steal your money and even more valuable, time. While he sits in jail. I will bet 20 $ he regrets this decision, now.
Once you lose this right there is no recourse.
They did the same thing to me when they stole my gun from my truck. This lawyer promised (lied) that he would have my case done at the next court hearing. About 18 court appearances and 2 years later I got my gun back.
Learn from me and Davids experience and hope you do not have to do this too.
