1) Why were the Sheriffs deputies there? Were they investigating the gunfire incidents, or something else?
The deputies were there to investigate the reports of shooting.
2) Who contacted the Sheriff's deputies initially?
I don't know.
3) Did anyone at the springs speak to the "boys" about safety issues with them shooting near the springs?
A couple of us yelled at them, but we were in the tubs and the boys were across the river, so they either didn't hear us or didn't bother to respond to us before they hiked away. As much as I wanted to give them a lecture, I tend to avoid any kind of confrontation with anyone carrying a lethal weapon.
4) Did anyone see the boys getting into a car to leave Bowen Ranch?
Not that I know of. I really don't know.
5) Was Mike Castro (the Bowen Ranch Gatekeeper) discussing the incident with the Sheriff's deputies?
I don't know. I assume the police probably talked with him, if he was home.
