I was working during the quake. Some people got a little freaked out.
Why is it we can spend trillions of dollars waging wars and yet we have no money available for retro-fitting hospitals?
The one building we need standing after a major earthquake is the local hospital.
The Bush administration's incompetance during Hurricane Katrina serves as a stark reminder that we must be prepared for self substanence and rescue if 'the big one" hits.
