Wizard - I agree with you wholeheartedly. You have supplied info with a completely legal way of entering the springs. My gut feeling is that anyone diligent enough to do the research on the internet and follow your directions to your parking spot is probably not the bad type who makes DCHS a difficult place. It seems painfully obvious that Mike Castro would be upset about the popularity of your route because it means less revenue for him. Maybe he genuinely is concerned about "bad" people going to the springs, but that seems more like an easy way for him to justify being upset with you and the new route. I agree that most of the bad people are likely to be passing through his toll road. He should take care of what he can on his own property, and that's it. Any other problems are for the authorities. Anyway, I hope the safety of your vehicle is not compromised. Clearly violence does occur at the springs, and visitors should be vigilant. You have done nothing wrong in my mind.
