Hello Paul :-) I even heard that the gas thieves are drilling holes in the bottom of plastic gas tanks of vehicles, and using master keys to get into the pumps themselves to circumvent the purchase process. The veneer of civilized behavior will continue to degrade, the worse this energy crisis gets, and I'm not looking forward to that. I'm thankful that I live on the extreme outskirts of the mass society that is Southern California. When I do any trips down into the LA Basin, it always comes to mind how completely dependent our intricately balanced large cities and megopolises are, on a constant influx of resources to keep things running, energy being one of the more important facets. The populations have been, more or less controlled in thier manner, as long as the supply lines keep flowing. There was hardly anything here 150 years ago, and then we grew our amazingly complex culture, on cheap abundant energy, and when scarcity hits in ernest, huge pressures on the order of our society will inevitably develop.
