It's not suprising that the BLM has once again altered scientific data to suit whatever special intrest happens to be contributing politicaly. The have done the same thing in Juniper Flats with the WEMO route designations. How many miles of hiking trails did they designate in Juniper Flats? Absoultly zero!

All over the west, cattle ranching has traditionaly been leasing public lands for very little money. In many areas, there are very few ways to make a living and these ranchers rely on the "welfare" subsidies from the government to stay afloat in their business of cattle. Not true in Juniper Flats where the leasee has a different buisness for a living and runs cattle on the side. Not being a resident of the area, he will have to truck in his cattle. He is also responsible for maintaining the fencing and other lease improvements which are in horrible shape. Rouge dirt bikers have cut holes in the fences which will create headaches for private property owners and hotspringers if these cattle are released again.

I dont know if anyone remembers what happened at Deep Creek the last time the cattle ran loose before the Willow Fire. It was a trampled mucky mess with cow crap everywhere!
