My daughters brought some of this, as you suggest LB, minor's lettuce, home with them, to put into a couple of small glasses at our home, after a hike to Lost Valley late Saturday afternoon. This evening the petals are still sitting in our kitchen. I think on my next hike out to that area I will try a taste of that plant, I might as well get some fresh ones :-) It is bright green, and so full of water that when pulled out of the ground it wilts almost immediatly. It is easily found in the dark and damp places, and since my pooches like it, I figure I might as well give it a try :-)
