At sunset, the Granite mountains turn colors that are most amazing. From my 'digs" in the Village, the late afternoon shadows highlight the rugged steepness with deep purples and reddish gold highlight the ridge. The distant Rodman mountains loom beyond and hold the mysteries of ancient people who left behind petroglyphs. Modern men and women can only guess the meaning of these writings of old in the desert. Sometimes if I look really close, I think I can see Wizard waving at me from high upon the Granites. No doubt, he has heard the call of the ancient ones in this old and sacred place.
