Kudos to Liana for having the guts to take this fight all the way to the State legislature, although I am a little skeptical as to its possibility of success there. However there has been some limited sucess on this front in other states and in Canada so maybe there is a possibility.

On the other hand, it is really disapointing to see Randy Thomasson's comments and quote towards the end of the article. "We already have too many sexual assaults in society. This will fuel that fire, and if the women don't understand, that's because they don't think like a man." When are we going to start looking at the more advanced (civilized) European nations and Australia were their more open attitudes towards topless women and nudity in general correlates to less cases of sexual assualt and teenage pregnancies rather than more. I think that Randy's quote reduces men's reaction to a topless women to the level of dogs reaction to a bitch on heat. I would like to believe that men in general are capable of some self-control otherwise a woman would never need to seduce her man, just flash him. I just see this as an excuse men sometimes use try to to get them off the hook when they are in hot water.

The other concerning comment is the need to "protect the children" if the legislation pasts. I have never heard the case of a breast harming any child anywhere. On the other hand I have heard of them nourishing many. What causes the female breast to go from a wonderful source of nutrition and antibodies to a harmful object for kids? Could this not be society's over sexualization and objectification of it instead of maintaining a more as-nature-intented attitude towards them?

Let's support Liana in any way possible.
