So what should be the purpose of news, for the societies it serves? That is an important question. Is it truly significant for us, as a people, of our vast cultures, to know about, the apartment fire in our local city, who shot who last night, what the latest lotery numbers are, whats hot on local tv, what Micheal Jackson is up too, entertain us into oblivion, etc, etc, etc. Will that kind of information, ever create a population, that will be informed enough, to be able to judge, and consider, what course, and important actions, should be taken, in regards to the broader significant changes that will adversly affect the quality of life, for all of us, and our loved ones? Time is short, and heads in the sand of the prevailing media form, won't stop the coming realities.
