Thank you for the exact directions, Jobe! It's much appreciated! I really do not want to get lost again. And cutting a mile out of each way sounds great to me. I definitely need to get in shape, and 1.2 miles sounds a little more appealing for now. That 2.2 mile hike, each way, I admit, was a little overwhelming! Hope to see you again soon. We might venture up there again weekend after next. Taby Romy Luna - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California

Thank you Katrina! We made our first trip to DCHS on Friday. We made the mistake of taking our dog and not getting an early start. It was so hot on the way down, he kept trying to find shade in any little bush he could. I was so afraid of encountering a snake! Luckily, we made it to DCHS with no sightings. This time! Next time, no dogs! triniby Romy Luna - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Hello Celtfire! Yes, as you heard from Jobe, we made it! Did not stay home to watch the (da**) Dodger's LOSE!!! AGAIN!!! And glad for that! I'll fill you in on our First Time, you can read or scroll through as you wish. We started out leaving home, in the east San Gabriel Valley, around 9:30 am. After stopping for fuel and beverages, we were finally on our way up tha pass around 10:30. Me,by Romy Luna - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Thank you much for the info. Me and my hubby have no problem with the optional clothing, but my 13 year old son and 10 year old daughter, well? We shall see. But it definitely sounds like a great and beautiful place to hang out! I am very excited. Until now, the only local place we would go to with swimming holes and such, was in Santa Barbara county. Otherwise, we'd drive to the Colorado River.by Romy Luna - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
Hello All! My husband and I met a couple this weekend who told us more about Deep Creek. We'd both heard about it, but never ventured there. We were thinking about taking a trip up there this weekend (Saturday). We do have a 4-wheel drive Jeep, but is this just a hike in place? (Don't want to go against any rules, posted or not!) If it is, and we park at the bridge, how far of a hike is it to thby Romy Luna - Deep Creek Hot Springs, Apple Valley, California
