Just hiked goldstrike yesterday. Left the parking area about 5:00PM, and it took an hour to get to the first spring. It was another 40 min to the river from there.

Water level seems to be low, although I've never been there before so I can't say for sure. The river was the best part of the hike! It is a great view of the new bridge.

Don't try this hike during the summer unless you know what you're getting into! It was HOT, and the gravel path makes for a tough 2.5 miles. Boulder scrambling with a dog in tow is pretty tough as well.

Bring LOTS of water. I saw 3 kids down there that were planning on camping out, but they didn't bring near enough water. Appeared to be about 1 liter per person! I killed almost 3 liters just by myself, and I hiked out at night.
