Rope swing safety - if you ask then you should not do it. The dangers are not in the rope swing. Here’s what can possibly go wrong: the river might be too low to jump and you break your legs or scalp or the currents might be too strong or there is an underneath boulder/log you hit or you have muscles spasms from the cold water or a snake is waiting for you on the shore or the tree the rope is attached breaks. I’d stay away for a while and let somebody show where/how to jump. woman swimming

You can camp at the springs or in the parking lot for up to 14 days. The local sheriff endorses the 14 day rule, no glass rule, no drugs rule and no cooking meth rule . If you camp, there are no facilities - you need to bury your # 2 and corresponding materials; please have a shovel. I discovered somebody used soap in a tub. I wish I saw who it was. I would’ve reported that person. No soap in the pools! Also, do not bring glass to the springs and pick up all your trash. Yesterday, the parking lot had so much trash I thought it was going to attack me. I collected a bunch but a thorough clean up is due. The springs have a heavy flow of visitors due to internet exposure. Not everyone go CO. Be prepare for both scenarios. There are a lot of people on weekends and not enough water flow to support so much volume so please be clean and sensible to the environment, wash your feet and yourself before getting into the pools. Obey all law enforcement commands - we are help not obstacle. Please do not object when volunteers drain the pools for clean up. There is always somebody who travels a long distance and objects volunteers’ efforts. I just ignore them and do my things.
There is a bunch of snakes in the area now. I saw 6' gopher and 3' king snake and I heard a rattler in the grass.

And whatever you do, stay away from the swing! No!
