That is right Rick. It is a fact that the Owens Valley is west of the Inyo Mountians and Saline Valley is East of the Inyos, thank God. The Owens Valley has a toxic dust control problem caused by L.A.'s lust for water. And entire Valley destroyed and raped for their water.
It was a fairly good article. Like most New Yorkers he did not see the Indian birthing center and failed to mention the terrific hiking opportunities in the Inyo mountians. He did not describe the Elvis memorial very well but at least he was aware. He also did not seem to go any where near the north end of the Valley which has many wonders. He did not mention many of the great places. Perhaps I should have assisted his research. But he did give a good sense of it's history.
Saline Valley is one of those places one should just absorb completely with an open mind. I recommend this place to all who love Nature and freedom.
This article will bring in many more tourist lost from a crazy messed up wanna be cool world. Looking, but not seeing.
Thanks Katrina and celtfire!
