"That'll happen right after you give up 3/4 of your wages to reduce the problem of your being robbed. Why should Dean give in to the off-road terrorists?"

I must offer a small correction here, Rick. In the year in which AZ Mike spent every weekend enjoying the hospitality of Rock Springs Ranch and its caretakers, he was unemployed the entire time and therefore had no wages. Seems he had some kind of a temper issue at his last job and never did find another. It may be that he has since found employment, I don't know, since he no longer communicates with me except through this forum. He decided that our hospitality, which included sleeping on our couch in inclement weather and being offered food every time we ate, came at the high price of having to put up with us, which must have been very difficult since I was too busy to spend hours every weekend listening to him complain (whine?) about the other caretakers here, the owner, and also, interestingly enough, Mike Castro.

As for the question about my "straddling the fence" with regards to Mr. Castro, I did wonder if the statements about Mike's hatred for the owner here (hearsay reported by AZ) and his declaration of war on FOJF (quoted by a reporter for the LA Times), would extend to me. I have a great difference of opinion with Mr. Castro over trail J1299 through the Area of Critical Environmental Concern, and am an active member of FOJF, besides being a caretaker at the ranch. Mr. Castro decided that his difference of opinion with me would not interfere with what is otherwise a mutually respectful relationship. Of course, I continue in my optimistic way to hope that there may be an eventual reconciliation between the owners of Bowen Ranch and Rock Springs Ranch, both of whom had an argument through the third party of AZ Mike who reported (with how much accuracy and integrity one can only guess at) to each party things said by the other.

My final comment regards Willa Zoe. I did find some really logical thought and an impressive knowledge of the law within her posts, but like Mojave Green had to wonder why she never responded to postive posts about the things she said. Possibly just someone trying to push some people's buttons and rile things up. Good thing so few of us here at the forum like to do that! ;-)
